Learn to lead was delighted to present at this  conference aimed to educate health, welfare and educational professionals who are working with older Service Children,  young people and their families. Susan Piers-Mantell  and  Learn to lead young  Director Mimi Ray, (now studying Engineering at Oxford University) introduced the presentation, followed by Lucie Acraman from the Oxford Collaboration of schools.

Lucie talked about OC’s engagement with Learn to lead and  introduced two young students – Clodagh and Harrison from the Blackbird Academy, Oxford. Clodagh and Harrison gave a great account of their work in the Garlic Farm Team – their growing and potential selling of garlic from a market stall they have organised, as well as an upcoming visit to the restaurant ‘Jamie’s’ who have agreed to demonstrate use of garlic in Italian food! Dr Mel Macer of Bath Spa University then talked about the positive outcomes for children of the cluster of Tidworth Primary Schools, who the MOD have supported to take up the Learn to lead programme.
