Critchill School is a school for young people between the ages of 4 and 16 with special educational needs. It joined the Learning to Lead community of schools 2 years ago, and now has 7 successful teams.
The Beautiful School Team are deciding how they can use their funds to make Critchill School more beautiful and so far have organised some very successful ‘Rag Bag’ collections and have raised over £700.
The Gardening Team have just been nominated to be part of ASDA’s ‘Chosen by you, Given by us’ scheme, where they could have up to £200 donated to help them continue improving their gardens and landscapes.
The Dance Team is currently putting together a new routine and hope to perform in our leavers’ assembly. They have been able to buy themselves Team t-shirts and accessories. The Dance Team also got the whole school involved in a Record Breaking Dance for simultaneous dancing.
The Singing Team have been involved in a project with Jackdaws and were part of a fabulous performance alongside other local schools.
The Film Team enjoy watching films of their choice during Friday lunchtime. They have raised money to buy comfortable bean bags and a popcorn maker to enhance their movie experience.
The Band Team have been rehearsing for a whole school rock performance. They have used their team funds to buy a new guitar and microphone stands
